Recently I had the pleasure of playing the Downtown Cocktail Lounge in old Vegas courtesy of the one and only Douglas Gibbs. The night was ful of funk, vintage house vibes, and some of the best cocktails Vegas has to offer.
We’re now ramping up to pool party season… stay tuned. xo J
Kelly and I have been trying diligently to seek out some non tourist infested nooks n crannies around Vegas town and after a few friendly convos found ourselves at the Arts Factory in old vegas. Started the night (First Friday) with some street vendor delicious pizza made in a brick oven mounted on a fire truck. . . swooped some brews. . . peeped a few sweet art galleries, and finally landed at the Arts Factory where the tunes were funkalicious and the bboys were funkier. Here are a few shots from the night. jw

Changing gears a bit, this gem is pulled off a Johnny Cash cover album titled “Songs of our Soil.” Originally by the Beach Boys, Sloop John B is one of my all time favorite songs. . . . Great to hear it sung by Johnny.

So we had a real strong start with No. 1 a few days ago but I definitely fell off and missed two days due to some intense partying and a photoshoot with Kaskade over at Marquee in the Cosmopolitan. Not to worry tho were catchin up tonight with 3 good’ns. This first one is from a vinyl I picked up at Record Surplus. The vintage looking sleeve with Amsterdam and Tokyo signs caught my eye and I’m pretty stoked I gave it a try. Here’s a link to Dutch boys Arling & Cameron if you wanna learn a little more about em’.
